About the Journal
Our Mission
The Neopte Journal of Applied Mobility (NJAM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to validating the innovation of the next generation of the global workforce. We bridge the gap between technical education and professional recognition by providing a formal platform for high school students, trade-bound scholars, and CTE educators to contribute to the global body of knowledge.
Focus Areas
NJAM focuses on the intersection of technical skill, economic mobility, and applied innovation. We move beyond traditional academic theory to highlight the practical application of technology in the real world. Our primary areas of inquiry include:
-
The Evolution of the Trades: Documenting advancements in high-demand fields such as advanced manufacturing, precision machining, sustainable infrastructure, and modern logistics.
-
Educational Innovation: Analyzing the efficacy of Career and Technical Education (CTE) frameworks and apprenticeship models in preparing students for high-wage, high-growth careers.
-
The "Bridge" to Industry: Examining how industry-academic partnerships facilitate workforce readiness and regional economic attainment.
-
Technical Validation: Providing a rigorous peer-review process for student-led technical portfolios and capstone projects, ensuring that "hands-on" work is treated with "heads-on" academic respect.
Our Audience
NJAM serves a global community of:
-
Student Authors: Providing them with a permanent, citable credential (DOI) to enhance their resumes and college applications.
-
Educators & Administrators: Offering a repository of proven CTE success models and pedagogical research.
-
Industry Leaders: Granting early access to the talent and innovations emerging from technical training programs.
Peer Review & Open Access
To uphold the highest standards of integrity, NJAM utilizes a double-blind peer-review process. We believe that financial barriers should never hinder the dissemination of knowledge; therefore, NJAM is completely free for both authors and readers, supported by the Neopte Foundation’s commitment to workforce mobility.
